A blog for exploring transfer rumours, and other football related stuff!

Neymar Junior, who transferred from FC Barcelona to Paris Saint Germain (in 2017) for a world record fee of 222 million euros in men's football

Hi there! I am a Borussia Dortmund fan, and on this blog site we will mainly discuss the various transfer rumours that are arising in today's world (not just BvB transfer rumours, but other clubs too).

(Clockwise, from left) Antony, Erling Haaland and Darwin Nunez, who stepped into the Premier League this season from Ajax, Dortmund and Benfica respectively

A transfer in football can happen under various circumstances:

> When a player contracted to a certain club shifts to another club for a transfer fee (that may be disclosed/ undisclosed to the public). The new club pays the player wages and additional bonuses during the length of the contract.

> When a player not contracted to any club signs a deal with a new club (often called a 'free agent deal'). Again, following standard protocol, the new club pays wages and additional fees for as long as the player is contracted to the club.

> When a player moves temporarily from one club to a new club for a few seasons (often called a 'loan deal'). The new club may pay a portion of his/her/their wages plus additional fees to the parent club.

Kiera Walsh, who transferred from Manchester City to FC Barcelona (in 2022) for a world record fee of 350,000 euros in women's football

A transfer rumour is basically the speculation of football fans and the media about whether a footballer will make the move to a new club. On this blog site, we will check out the legitimacy of such rumours, whether the player would actually fit into the new club, and the financial aspect of such deals. We might also delve into other miscellaneous football topics from time to time.

Ciao then! See you on my next post!
